Sampo · sampo.market

Every item. Real people.Sold by the personwho made it.

A marketplace. One rule. No exceptions.

“A marketplace where every item comes from the person who sells it.”

The name

Sampo is a word from Finnish folklore. The old stories describe it as a source of plenty. We liked that.

The platform takes the same idea seriously: a place that sustains the people who make things, and the people who want them.

Three parties

The artist

The person who made it. Fees start at 5% and go down as they grow. Their shop is their own.

The buyer

Someone who wants to know where a thing came from. Every listing shows the fee rate. Every purchase goes directly to the person whose name is on the shop.

Sampo

The platform that connects them. It handles payments, search, and logistics. It stays out of the way. It does not sell rankings. It does not take a side.

How it works

No paid rankings

Search results reflect the work. An artist cannot buy a better position. The first listing you see earned it.

Fees track your volume.

Start at 5%. Cross $5k in rolling 6-month sales and the rate drops to 3.5%. Keep growing, keep paying less. Rates update monthly as your volume moves.

Handmade enforcement

Every item on Sampo comes from the person selling it. That is enforced, not promised. Dropshipping is blocked at the database level.

Some went further. The verified badge means a real ID check and a review of their workspace. It is voluntary. Look for it on shop and product pages.
